aswanargent, thank you kindly! And a card from brooklinegirl that I carefully refrained from opening in public but which turned out to be only moderately mortifying! Thank you Paul Tracey! I also got other people's presents in the mail, which was nearly as exciting, because if iuliamentis doesn't think hers is the coolest thing since sliced bread, I'm bringing it back home with me.
And! Furthermore! I have been visited by the LJ Fairy! Thank you ever so, LJ Fairy--I have anonymous commenting enabled and a bit of free time ahead of me somewhere, so if you would like a little fic in thanks, please do pipe up.
On the downside, the weather forecast for the Great Lakes area on Friday--the day I was supposed to be driving to Michigan which, as you may know, is smack in the middle of the Great Lakes--is freezing rain. All day. After last month's adventure with driving into a snowstorm for Thanksgiving, I know better than to deal with that if I don't have to, which means going home a day early which means AN EXTRA DAY AT MY PARENTS' HOUSE OH YAY!
