Thugs (1,208 words)
David/Colby, PG. Spiders.
The song is, obviously, also called Thugs, and it's by The Tragically Hip. At first I thought of it because a) it's on my playlist and b) it's called "Thugs" and David and Colby--ahahahha, yeah, and c) it's all partner-y in the chorus: I do the rolling, / You do the details.
So of course when I started actually trying to write, I stuck on the first few lines:
Everyone's got their breaking point,
With me it's spiders,
With you it's me.
It occurred to me that I should share the song, since it's one of my favorite Hip songs (and totally David/Colby NO REALLY), so here: The Tragically Hip - Thugs.
And now I have to go stare at my map of Canada until I have managed to grasp that, for serious, even in bumfuck northern Idaho, Spokane is closer than Calgary, and while Colby might plausibly have watched hockey on over-the-air CBC, I really, really can't make him faux-Canadian just because he's from a northern tier state.
Really.
