excuse me while I swoon.
Jul. 28th, 2006 02:46 pmLots of you have probably already read
iscaris's One for the Road, but for those who haven't--omg, go read! Numb3rs fic, long Numb3rs fic (12,000 words--not Parallel Connections long, but definitely substantial), and it's so good I was all but dancing in my seat at work this morning, trying to stretch it out to make it last even longer.
It's NC-17, Don/Charlie, Don/Billy, set from pre-series through season one, and it's--look, don't be put off by this, okay?--it's a little darker than I've yet dared to write. It deals with the power dynamic between Don and Charlie in an upfront, kind of harsh way, plugging straight into everything that makes Don/Charlie so dirtyhot. It's wonderfully angsty, and the ending is brilliantly satisfying, and seriously, why are you still here? Go! Read!
