still alive, now with yuletide recs

I'm on iuliamentis and helaasindakaas's lovely new couch, stealing somebody's wireless, to say a) hi! I'm still not dead! despite having to get up at four in the morning yesterday to get on the train to come out here, and I am almost caught up on my friends list and I love you all (and I also love John and Aeryn very much, and also Bond)
