So the
interesting part, if you think about it really, is that it took me and
strangecobwebs until something like two hours into Dira's Stupid Flat Tire Saga to plot it out as a bandom AU.
(The AU goes something like: Ryan discovers his car has a flat tire. He glares at it for a few minutes, but it does not magically reinflate, so he calls Spencer because he has no clue what else to do, plus Spencer has AAA. Spencer also has a horrible cold, but he shows up anyway because he's awesome, and then they call AAA, possibly with an interlude of the battery on Ryan's cell phone dying, and then they wait around for like an hour and a half until Jon from AAA calls and asks Ryan - who he is calling Spencer, due to the AAA card being in Spencer's name - where he is exactly? And Ryan doesn't bother to correct him about the name and tells him, and then there are a few calls back and forth because Jon's ginormous tow truck won't fit into the garage, but no problem! His buddy is right close by in a pickup truck! And then like twenty minutes later Jon and Brendon show up - Brendon's nametag looks suspiciously new and hand-written, and also he doesn't actually touch Ryan's car, but he pays very close attention during the approximately ninety seconds it takes Jon to put the new tire on - and then, you know, probably they all have sex! Possibly after some shenanigans with Jon thinking Ryan's name is really Spencer, etc. etc.)
(You can go ahead and guess which parts of that did not happen in real life!)
Ahem. So on the bright side, I get to take that mental health day from work I've been wanting. I'll just be... spending it at the repair shop. Spending money on my car that I probably should not have just spent on those Panic tickets. /o\
Also amusing: I got home and looked at my little to-do list for today. Before Christine got quite so sick, we'd been thinking of having dinner-and-tv-watching some night this week, which meant that after all the other things I needed to do was written:
Quality time w/C?ACCOMPLISHED!
