Torchwood! ilu!

I managed to totally miss this article back two weeks ago when it was, you know, actually news, so I shall just have to squee about it now.

You guys! You guys! EUROS LYN is directing the Torchwood (mini)series (three)! EUROS LYN!!!!!

[For people who are not crazy/do not watch Doctor Who Confidential after every single episode, things to know about Euros Lyn:

1. He directed "The Runaway Bride" and "Silence in the Library"/"Forest of the Dead."
2. He has an incredibly charming accent.
3. He is a close third behind Danny Hargreaves (special effects supervisor, mostly responsible for MAKING STUFF BLOW UP) and Phil Collinson (producer guy) for the behind-the-scenes Doctor Who person I have the biggest and most totally embarrassing crush on.]

So in conclusion: EUROS LYN! THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME! And also there is a quite nice picture of Eve Myles on the other side of that link, and some bits about them filming the mini-series/series three/thing that has a title uncomfortably similar to an Orson Scott Card novel.

As someone a trifle oversocialized might put it.

My cell phone appears to be lost and/or stolen (emptied bag; went back to work and searched there including checking with two different lost-and-founds and calling my cell number from my desk; went back to the Burger King where I ate lunch today and first noticed it missing and checked with them; searched my car repeatedly; searched my entire apartment and had the downstairs neighbors (with whom I am having dinner tonight, as Mrs. Downstairs Neighbor came up and invited me while I was typing this) call it, all to no avail).

Somewhat ironically, I got the mail-in rebate check for that phone today. Which... I suppose will defray the cost of buying the damn thing over again, as I elected not to pay the eight dollars a month for replacement insurance, aren't I clever.
