Like maybe Mrs. Adams for some reason is going to move to Beacon Hills to open a restaurant, like she's got a cousin there or an internet boyfriend or something! Maybe they're trying to attract new businesses in the wake of all the, you know, murdering, which has had a negative effect on the local economy! ANYWAY.
So obviously Lydia decides she'll come up for a while, just a year maybe, to get away from awkwardness with her babydaddy and help her mom get settled and get the restaurant on its feet and have a little time working in some sleepy small-town sheriff's department until the baby's a little older.
