dira: Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier (Ray - Ready to Go)
Yes, okay, sure, Yuletide nominations. But I find Yuletide nominations sufficiently overwhelming that I tend to ignore them until/unless I frantically nominate something at the last minute because I'm suddenly convinced that I must have it and no one else will think of it.

But right now! It is [livejournal.com profile] yagkyas signups time! :D Who's with me?

I am still mulling over my signup options, and meantime I note that signups are accompanied by the Good Cookies prompt meme.

I always find prompt memes sort of bewildering/overwhelming/not relevant to my interests (look, I need neither more ideas for things to write nor a venue to write very short things very quickly) in a way that usually makes me feel sort of cranky and old. But compared to the way Tumblr makes me feel cranky and old, prompt memes are full of fond nostalgia. REMEMBER WHEN WE ALL POSTED FIC ON LIVEJOURNAL? MAN. THOSE WERE THE DAYS.

So, you know. I am keeping an eye on that post while I ponder my signup choices. *g*

For the "sunburn" square on my [community profile] cottoncandy_bingo card!

Many thanks to Iulia for beta. Story title, on the off chance you want an explanation for it, is from Weezer's "Surf Wax America" because obviously.

Nate/Brad. Explicit. 3200 words.
He flicks a fingernail against the center of Nate's chest, and Nate's whole body jerks from the zing of bright, prickling pain.
