Yes, okay, sure, Yuletide nominations. But I find Yuletide nominations sufficiently overwhelming that I tend to ignore them until/unless I frantically nominate something at the last minute because I'm suddenly convinced that I must have it and no one else will think of it.

I am still mulling over my signup options, and meantime I note that signups are accompanied by the Good Cookies prompt meme.
I always find prompt memes sort of bewildering/overwhelming/not relevant to my interests (look, I need neither more ideas for things to write nor a venue to write very short things very quickly) in a way that usually makes me feel sort of cranky and old. But compared to the way Tumblr makes me feel cranky and old, prompt memes are full of fond nostalgia. REMEMBER WHEN WE ALL POSTED FIC ON LIVEJOURNAL? MAN. THOSE WERE THE DAYS.
