I wrote this story for the Steve/Bucky Spring Fling fic exchange.
My recipient said: ok i realize this already sounds bad but hear me out, hear me out. steve acquires bucky, who was kept as a pet/slave by an abusive owner (or abusive association cough hydra) and has to try to help bucky recover while dealing with bucky's conditioning. basically, i want to see steve reluctantly and as kindly as possible treating bucky as a slave/pet--collars and such would be really nice haha--and bucky slowly regaining his ability to see himself as human.
And I said OH MAN I ALREADY PLOTTED OUT THIS WHOLE THING, HOW DO I CHOOSE ONE RELATIVELY SHORT BIT TO WRITE. And I kept it under 10,000 words, so I think that worked out pretty well, at least until I start filling in all the other pieces of the arc. (Maybe later. This AU is in my "just in case Age of Ultron ruins everything and I need to hide from canon where it cannot reach me" bomb shelter.)
So this is my gentle reluctant master Steve, traumatized sex slave Bucky story! With many thanks to the usual suspects for their encouragement, and Medved for beta. :D
