This week in writing, 11/5
Nov. 5th, 2017 06:28 pm5NaNoWriMo started halfway through this week, with… mixed results, so far, as the “AHHH JUST WORK ON SOMETHING! MAKE WORDS!!” feeling means I… started some new things, which is not usually great for productivity on any one thing.
WIPs currently active: ???, I honestly don’t know right now. Probably 7 or 8??
Words written this week: 6,600
WIPs that got no words this week: 1 - wildly unmanageable ace!Bitty/Jack epic
WIPs that did get words this week:
Codename: Aluminum Bastard (aka broken dick epic): 207, and I am pondering when to start posting it as a WIP, and at what pace. (There are 43 chapters written at this point, totaling over 175k, with maybe 15ish chapters to go?)
Born in the Blood: 604, although I also added a note on AO3 stating that this one is on hiatus, because … I really meant to focus on it during NaNo and get it finished, but every time I open the file my brain just kind of goes blank? but it’s SO CLOSE to being done really, so. I have genuinely no idea (and this is a stage where pestering definitely will not help, sorry. You’ll know when there’s something to know.)
Slavefic #6: 1,719, and I really gotta figure out the transition to the montage. Soon. Or at least a snappy comeback to the last line of dialogue I wrote.
Jack/Bitty angsty happy ending kidfic: 1,065, which I think I need to pull out and rearrange because there is actually a limit to how much unbroken intense conversation I should cram into a single scene and also Jack’s feet have probably fallen asleep. BUT this morning I figured out some important logistical stuff for the aforesaid happy ending, so. YAY!
Fandom Loves Puerto Rico Bitty/Jack kinkfic: 2,061, wheeee! :D
Jack/Bitty a/b/o sequel to Many Hands Make Light Work: 526, and I think I immediately wrote myself into a corner just because ahahahaha Jack and feelings what.
Little Bitty #4: 418, and plagued with that feeling where I am like “sure I have spent tens of thousands of words in other stories setting up this dynamic and what it means that it’s going to take this particular turn, but MAYBE I NEED MORE LEAD-IN, THIS IS MOVING SO FAST.” (It is not in fact moving that fast.)
