Watched Buried on Sunday for the first time last night and - oh. Carla? Yeah, I get it now. Gus, with his flowing early-nineties hair (and that odd little streak of gray) and his dickie and his story about freezing to death and and and awww.... Plus, bombing Mt. Rushmore! Hee!

And I think I'm over my Maury Chaykin twitch for good now - poor Dexter!

I actually found myself thinking of Father (heh) Ray, from Nothing Sacred (anybody other than me ever watch that one?) - Gus reminded me of him. Possibly it was the hair.

Song that is forever tainted because of negative associations: Does unnecessary personal melodrama count? "Paper Bag" by Fiona Apple = walking around in the rain in Oxford, pining for an unattainable classmate.
Song or Artist that I am ashamed to admit I enjoy: Avril Lavigne. I think the worst is that sometimes I say this, and people say 'Why?' As in, why am I ashamed, not why do I like the music of a faux-punk teenie whose music is the soundtrack of my baby brother's love life. But she's Canadian, so maybe it's okay.
