I (like probably a lot of you) always read a lot as a kid, way above my grade level, and I could never be bothered to actually look things up, so I learned a lot of words by context. Now, older and having discovered the joy of dictionaries, I find myself periodically wondering what exactly equanimity or recidivist or viz means, and I go look it up.

Unfortunately, I can't do this in that case, so I just have to ask: What, exactly, does woobie mean?
