I know most of y'all who are so inclined have probably already seen this, but I thought I'd put in my two cents worth of pimping for the_rec_room (We take requests!)

It's a community for people to request 1) recommendations for whatever kind of fic (gen, het, or slash, any fandom) they're jonesing for, and 2) those pesky 'I read this story one time where someone was trapped underneath something for some reason and I want to read it again, do you remember the title/author?' questions that you've got to ask somewhere.

People who think they should ignore this completely should at least check out the comments for the latest post, which requests long Firefly gen-fic.

And for everybody else, come on, join up! The more members it has, the more useful the community will be.
