Halfway through NaNo and all is well!

Instead of doing proper NaNo this year, I'm doing a NaNo-like thing called "Trying to get the Nano badge on 750words.com." The Nano badge is available any month of the year if you manage to write 50,000 words in a month without ever missing a consecutive day of writing at least 750 words. That makes it sound like it's the hardcore version of NaNo, but on the other hand I've totally thrown out all the actual novel-writing rules, so so far I've worked on three different stories--my tw_holidays one and "Being Found" and this ridiculous monster of an AU--and all of that counts for my total.

I'm a day and a half ahead of Nano pace right now, though, and I'm hoping to run up my score a little further tonight.


Meanwhile, after two weeks of moderately frantic writing, this morning I had a dream about getting beta comments from iulia. (She was, as she usually is, totally right: the treehouse with built-in stereo system was totally over the top.)
