Beauty and the Beast (ish) AU: 40,312 words.
Events in outline before Big Finish: 12
Number of them labeled "montage": none!
So I think I just have to accept that I have some kind of weird pacing instinct for stories around 65,000 words, and this is one of those stories. And I am probably not going to get the next 25,000 words written this weekend.
