(no subject)

It occurs to me that, somewhere on my friends page, there may be someone who isn't a member of ds_flashfiction but whose life is tragically deficient of slutty drunk French-speaking Due South hockey-AU smut. If you are that person, you're in luck, because I wrote some.

It's also possible that I just really like typing the words 'slutty drunk French-speaking.' Or that staying up til one to write and post this, and then waking up before six (because it turns out today is, y'know, Monday) may not have been exactly a foolproof recipe for coherence. Whatever.

I was going to say something, but this lovely Daniel icon from daughtershade has driven it completely out of my mind.

Oh. I think it was 'Why can I cheerfully write and read D/s relationships for vampires (e.g. Angel/Spike) but not humans (e.g. Harry/Draco or, on the not-writing side, Muir/Bishop from Spy Game)?' As far as I can tell, the answer is "You expect vamps to be more fucked up than humans," but that's sort of philosophically unsatisfying.
